The Baptist Student Union is a student group at Missouri Southern State University dedicated to making disciples who make disciples. We be believe Jesus called people to repent and follow, that’s the Gospel. We are broken people living in a world that we ourselves broke, but there is a God who loves us and wants us to have better lives and a better future in a better world with Him. To experience that, however, we have to recognize our brokenness and wrongdoings, and surrender our lives to following Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who lived, died, was buried and rose from the dead to pay the debt we owe for the way we have treated God, his creation and one another. The people who do that, who repent and follow, Jesus called disciples. A disciple is someone who has turned away from their sin and follows Jesus Christ as LORD with the intent of becoming more like him and leading others to do the same. If that sounds redundant, it should. Because it is. It bears repeating. Disciples. Be one. Make one.
