Today started at Treadwell Elementary, where we had over 30 kids come out for Bible Club. Today they heard about the significance of trusting God from the story of Joshua and the Battle of Jericho. They also played games, sang songs and made a piggy bank out of empty water bottles and ribbon. It seems like each day your heart goes out to a different child as you learn about their personal situations.
After lunch we headed over to The Highlands of Memphis, a nursing home. There we talked and prayed with residents and colored Easter eggs with them. It was interesting, both sad and joyful, to hear their stories. One woman, Miss Joan, had been married over 50 years and was proud to let us know that her husband and son both visited her every night.
After dinner we went to play laser tag. A good time was had by all.
