Spring Break 2016: Memphis Pt. 1

As this year’s leadership team prayed and discussed possible locations for a Spring Break mission trip, only one possibility really stood out, Street Reach in Memphis, Tennessee. Several students had been before and loved the experience, plus the fact that it afforded us the opportunity to partner with Crowder College BSU (something we’ve talked about several times in years past, but never seemed to work out), made it an obvious choice. So far, so good.

This year’s team features 5 students from the MSSU Baptist Student Union and we all arrived here safely and ready for a great week.

Street Reach is an urban outreach ministry similar to Mission Arlington in Texas. They have us doing a Bible club in the morning and various ministries throughout the week in the afternoons. Based out of Brinkley Heights Baptist Church, the ministry is efficient and effective at reaching the community nearby with the Gospel.
