Every person has a story, and all those stories have real value.
Recently the BSU took the initiative to properly prepare to tell our stories, or more accurately, God’s story in our lives. Students spent three weeks looking at passages like Acts 22, wherein the Apostle Paul recounts his life before his encounter with Jesus, the encounter itself, and how it changed his life. During that time they examined their own lives and wrote out their own stories in a similar format. Finally, they set up a booth and asked passers-by about their own stories. It was an act of faith, requiring the ability to listen with genuine interest, not seeking merely to talk about themselves, but to be willing to simply hear the journey of others. Having sorted through their own walk with God, they were able to hear opportunities to relate and share when appropriate, not merely for the sake of sharing, but out of genuine concern and a desire to help. It was a great day on campus!
