Spring Break 2014: Arlington, Texas (Pt. 6)

Today was our “Fun day.” That day at the end of every mission trip where, time permitting, you take advantage of local culture and resource to enjoy a day of rest and relaxation. In our case that meant heading out to catch an early showing of God’s Not Dead. It’s a great ‘message’ movie if you love Jesus, but offered some pretty strong stereotypes that might be perceived as unkind by others. After the movie we grabbed a quick bite at a local sandwich place (Potbelly Sandwich Shop) then headed to the Dallas Zoo. Giraffes, gorillas, and a chance to pet a hedgehog… who wouldn’t love that?! Then to close out the day we went to dinner at Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe, which was one of the best meals anyone had ever eaten. And, of course, there was Coldstone Creamery for dessert. Only college students can eat that much without committing gluttony.
